Premium Compensation: Shift differential for 2nd shift + available overtime Benefits Day One: Medical, dental, disability, and voluntary life insurance 401(k) with Company Match Discretionary Bonus Incentive Eligibility Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Stable, Growing Shop: Long-term opportunity with modern equipment Team-Driven Culture: Clean, safe, organized shop environment Job Details KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and support second shift machinists in daily production activities, ensuring schedule adherence and shop floor discipline Set up and/or operate complex CNC lathe and milling machines as needed, providing hands-on technical guidance Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues in real time to minimize downtime and scrap Ensure strict adherence to engineering drawings, operation sheets, and GD&T requirements Oversee first-piece and in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment Ensure proper documentation in ERP systems and completion of required quality records Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve production issues quickly Maintain shift communication logs and provide a clear handoff to first-shift leadership Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Support Lean initiatives and waste reduction efforts on the shop floor QUALIFICATIONS Needed: High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience with a focus on Lathe and/or Milling Aerospace or precision component manufacturing experience required Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation Experience performing in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment Prior supervisory, lead, or team-leader experience strongly preferred Multi-axis machining experience preferred Familiarity with ERP systems and quality documentation processes Lean manufacturing experience a plus Proven ability to balance production output with uncompromising quality standards Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills Interested in hearing more?
