Job Description

Position: Powder PainterShift: 1st Shift - 8:00AM - 5:00PM with some flexibility on start/end timesPay: $20.00 - $25.00 General Job Description:An experienced powder coater will support doing all tasks related to the paint process in our facility. This includes preparing parts for paint, applying powder coating, operating paint equipment and cure oven, inspecting painted parts, and loading/unloading parts from cure oven. Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance, and attention to detail to ensure the appropriate finish quality level achieved.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare parts for paint by power washing, grinding, sanding, drying, and masking.Ensure all parts are properly painted and work instructions are followed.Operate all coating equipment including paint guns, hoppers, and booth ventilation system.Visual inspection of part quality prior to and after paint.Load, move, and unload parts between paint booth and cure oven.Perform any required paint rework.Operate cure oven at appropriate temperatures and times.Ensure that all components are painted efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality.Ensure safety guidelines are being met to ensure a safe work environment.Keep paint booth and cure oven clean and organized doing cleaning and maintenance by removing waste powder, debris, and replacing filters.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Excellent work historyMust be able to safely lift at least 50 lbs.Clean driving record: No speeding tickets or accidents within 12 months (If delivery and installation work would be assigned).Ability to use an overhead crane, pallet jack and fork truck.Willingness to learn and take on new roles and responsibilities.Attention to detail and quality while doing tasks.Ability to work as part of a team.Comfortable wearing appropriate PPE while preparing and painting parts.High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).Worked in a manufacturing setting: 1 year (Preferred).
