JOB SUMMARYThe Tech Support/Team Lead provides continuous improvement and daily support to their work area. The primary focus of the Team Lead is to help solve problems with an advanced skillset to address and support technical issues.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport daily production and problem solvingRespond to problems and needs identify trends and solve issues that cause interruptions Use PDCA as neededLead start up meetings daily CI meetings weekly and follow Team Lead standard workDaily coaching training and support of team membersAct as the primary trainer for the area maintain department skills matrix to drive cross training programAudit jobs to confirm that the standard work is being followed and is current make adjustments using team inputSustainment of systems (metrics standard work quality 5S PDCA etc.)Coach and mentor team members in Continuous Improvement methods and toolsRun machines to cover for lost time or to allow STAR work by othersOther duties as assigned by supervisorQUALIFICATIONSProven success as a Machinist with Wilson ToolPassion for continuous improvementExcellent problem solving skillsMust be able to run or have the capability of learning to run all machines in the cell/value stream.Capable of carrying projects through to completion.Ability to coach mentor and train team membersBasic computer skills including Microsoft office typing 10 key and internet navigationAbility to learn Excel and/or SAP if neededPHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
