2026-2027 School Year Special Education Director at Richland R-4

The Richland R-IV School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced K12 Special Education Director for the upcoming school year. This individual will oversee all aspects of the districts special education programs ensuring high-quality services that meet the academic social and emotional needs of students with disabilities.Responsibilities Include:Administering and supervising all special education services across the districtEnsuring compliance with IDEA Section 504 and all federal and state regulationsCoordinating and supervising special education staff and related service providersOverseeing the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Managing special education budget and resourcesCollaborating with school principals teachers families and outside agenciesProviding professional development and support to staffMonitoring student progress and program effectivenessQualifications:Masters Degree or higher in Special Education Educational Administration or related fieldValid Missouri administrative certification in Special Education Administration (or eligibility to obtain)Minimum of three years of experience in special education (leadership experience preferred)Strong knowledge of state and federal special education laws and proceduresExcellent leadership organizational and communication skillsRequired Experience:Director Key Skills Early Childhood Education,Classroom Experience,Education Administration,Lesson Planning,Special Education,Adult Education,Teaching,Curriculum Development,Administrative Experience,Leadership Experience,Program Development,Supervising Experience Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
