Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing geotechnical services environmental engineering industrial hygiene and specialty testing.What are we looking forThe2026 Intern - Construction Servicesis responsible for performing a variety of laboratory testing site assessment engineering duties and administrative tasks under general supervision. To support your development needs we offer flexible work schedules and a collaborative work environment.What youll do:Perform a variety of testing project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.Operate testing equipment and conducts testing (example: Soil concrete or other) and provides assessment of data through reportingWork utilizing drawings specifications and diagramsUse specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasksMake detailed observations and gives limited interpretation of resultsMaintain detailed documentation and data from test resultsCommunicate effectively with client and project teamsAssist in classifying soil samples and various geotechnical laboratory testingAssist in preparing work order for construction material testingProvide back-up support for other department administrative staffPerform data entry maintenance in company systemsThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:Must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Management degree program at an accredited UniversityValid drivers license and reliable driving record is requiredMust be able to work off shifts and overtimeAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communicationMust be able to read and understand work plansAbility to lift move push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.Ability to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)Ability to climb occasionallyIntertek: Total Quality.
