This is a reality for AbbVie Interns.This internship offers a unique opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team at the intersection of data science GenAI and regulatory science. The intern will contribute to the development and implementation of AI-driven tools for content authoring and quality control (QC) review of regulatory documents supporting the delivery of high-quality submissions to health authorities.Key Responsibilities Include:Collaborate with scientists and regulatory professionals to understand the requirements and structure of regulatory documents.Assist in developing and applying data science and GenAI models to automate content generation and QC processes.Curate clean and structure data to train and validate AI models for document authoring and review.Evaluate and implement natural language processing (NLP) techniques for text summarization information extraction and document comparison.Participate in the development and validation of automated QC tools for identifying inconsistencies errors and gaps in regulatory submissions.Present findings tools and recommendations to cross-functional teams and document results in clear concise reportsQualifications : Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelors in Data Science Computer Science Bioinformatics Biomedical Engineering or a related fieldMust be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internshipExpected graduation date between December 2026 June 2027Strong interest in pharmaceutical sciences regulatory science or healthcare data.Familiarity with data analysis and programming (e.g. Python or R).Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications Previous experience with natural language processing (NLP) or generative AI models.Exposure to regulatory science pharmaceutical industry practices or biomedical research.Ability to interpret scientific literature and regulatory guidance documents.Additional Information : Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: Benefits and Amenities:Competitive payRelocation support for eligible studentsSelect wellness benefits and paid holiday / sick time The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
