Job Summary: The Co-Op Engineer will assist the Engineering Department with development activities. Primary work involves using SolidWorks CAD software to design parts subassemblies and tools for high voltage circuit switchers as well as tools to build and test prototypes. At the end of every rotation you will present out deliverables experiences and recommendations. Functions include:Creating parts and assemblies in Solidworks from concept through to finished drawingsBuilding prototype circuit switchers and sub-assemblies for development testingCollect data during testing and analyze the data to evaluate test resultsAssist other engineers with continuous improvement projects within the divisionOther job duties as assignedWhat you will be working on: this should include projects RLS38AR Mechanical and Dielectric TestingRLS38T Mechanical and Dielectric TestingLLS E Close Operation TestingDrawing Updates from VIP (Value Improvement Program) TicketsMinimum Qualifications:Education: Student enrolled in a four-year degree program majoring in Mechanical Engineering (or similar degree) who has completed their freshman year of college.Experience: Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D parametric CAD software. Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude. This job requires assembling and testing prototypes. Knowing how to use tools is a must.
