Job Summary:The Co-op Manufacturing Engineer will assist the Manufacturing Engineering Department with production activities. Primary work involves using SolidWorks CAD software to design tools and fixtures for manufacturing.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Student enrolled in a four-year degree program majoring in Engineering who has completed their freshman year of college.Experience: Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software.Must be willing to work 3 or more rotating semesters.Other functions include:Tooling and production method developmentMaterial storage analysis and improvementCollection and analysis of labor / machinery productivity and efficiency dataMachine tool set up reductionPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.Experience in or knowledge of metal cuttingExperience in or knowledge of metal cutting processes / machinery.
