JOB DESCRIPTION
2nd Shift - CNC Operator / Saw Operator
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator / Saw Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing machines to start production cycles, loading and unloading raw materials, performing inspections, and maintaining machinery functionality. This role requires a versatile machinist capable of working with both CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare machine to start production cycle.
- Load and unload raw material onto the machine.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections in accordance with company standards.
- Keep records of conforming and nonconforming products.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues that might occur during the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
- Blueprint reading expertise.
- Set-up experience and some programming knowledge, with the ability to edit programs.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Understanding of production procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including constant use of protective gear.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is a plus.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of READING, PA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
