JOB DESCRIPTION
2nd Shift - Machine Operator
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our 2nd shift. The role involves adhering to operating procedures, loading materials into machines such as punch press and cookie cutter machinery, and performing machine setups, die changes, and changeovers. The operator will be responsible for pulling finished products off the machine, stacking them on pallets, and preparing them for forklift transportation. Additionally, you will adjust machine settings to ensure tasks are completed per specification, detect and report any defective materials, and maintain a clean and safe workstation.
Responsibilities
- Load materials into machines and perform setups and changeovers.
- Pull finished products off machines and stack on pallets.
- Wrap pallets and prepare them for forklift transportation.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately.
- Detect and report defective materials or conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work station, adhering to the 5S system.
- Accurately record labor and material usage in the ERP system.
Essential Skills
- Experience in machine operating and production processes.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to work with fiberglass and insulation, with provided PPE.
- Capability to lift up to 50lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automotive industry
- Familiarity with machining, assembly, inspection, and packing processes.

Work Environment
The 2nd shift operates from 4pm to 2am, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays (a 6-hour shift). The workplace offers two 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute break, all paid without the need to clock out. The environment is laid-back, with opportunities for both teamwork and independent work, and all necessary PPE is provided for working with materials like fiberglass and insulation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fitchburg, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
