JOB DESCRIPTION
2nd Shift Material Handler
The role of the 2nd Shift Material Handler involves ensuring efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the facility to support production schedules and maintain inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas, including the production floor, warehouse, and shipping areas.
- Supply production lines with materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Properly label and store materials in assigned locations, optimizing space and ensuring easy accessibility.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Participate in efforts to improve material handling processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
Essential Skills:
- Experience using an RF scanner to track materials within a manufacturing warehouse.
- Ability to document and track inventory accurately to ensure ample product availability.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- 1-2 years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC-related industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; EPICOR is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.

Work Environment:
This role requires physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing portable ladders. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is mandatory. The shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 1:30am, offering a 4x10 schedule with a 10% shift differential. The facility is air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable work environment.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
