We build strong, diverse teams through individual attributes and provide tools for growth.2nd Shift Production Supervisor-MACHINE OPERATING/LEAD EXPERIENCE PREFERREDResponsible for supervising staff (5:00 pm-1:00 am), and the Production Supervisor position is a hands-on position requiring them to perform any position on the production floor at any given time based on the situation.Duties and Responsibilities:Operate paper corner board/spiral paper tube winding machines.Supervise production staff, including scheduling machine/order run, as well as assigning work.Adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures. Follow and enforce policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment reliability, operating procedures, and working conditions.Supervise and know how to operate various equipment, including but not limited to production lines, recutting equipment, vertical balers, and forklifts.Work to continuously improve productivity in all areas, balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results. Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment, and machine operations, which may lead to human injury and/or property damage. Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and waste. Directly responsible for employee training, coaching, and discipline when necessary.Work effectively and relate well with others. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships. Provide leadership and training to accomplish plant goals and objectives.Lead a culture of success and demonstrate that plant cleanliness is key to a safe work environment in which everyone can take pride. Effectively collaborate with Plant and General Managers on all aspects of production and staffing.Key Competencies Needed:Machine OperatingImpressive Safety RecordProblem-SolvingLeadershipComputer Proficiency (MS Office, particularly Excel)Communication Organizational SkillsPersonal Effectiveness/CredibilitySkills and Abilities Required: This position requires a high level of professionalism at all times while maintaining a collegial and effective relationship with employees and managers at all levels. Experience and Education: Experience in the paper or packaging industry preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. High School diploma or GED preferred. Less than high school education with 1 to 3 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day. The employee must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds often, as well as heavier weights with assistance.Compensation details: 78000-80000 Yearly SalaryPI5639b84bc580-25405-39065584
