Job Title: Thread/Form Roll Operator Level 3 Location: Santa Ana CA (On-site) Department: Fastener Manufacturing / Thread Rolling Reports To: Production Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt) Pay: $24.00 $35.00 per hour DOE Position Summary: Set up operate and adjust thread/form roll machines to produce complex aerospace fastener components with minimal supervision. Lead setups for others mentor junior operators and partner with Engineering/Tooling on troubleshooting. Demonstrate strong knowledge of thread/form roll tooling (form packages feeds) and perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet print/spec. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Perform full machine setups/changeovers; verify first-piece quality and optimize parameters for rate/yield. Operate thread/form rolling equipment safely and efficiently; follow PPE guarding and LOTO procedures. Conduct in-process inspections and final checks; document results and maintain lot traceability. Read and correctly interpret work orders travelers and drawings; adhere to quality specifications. Diagnose and resolve equipment/product issues (intermediate troubleshooting); escalate as needed. Assist with training and setups for lower-level operators; communicate effectively with Production and Engineering/Tooling. Maintain 5S/housekeeping; stage materials monitor tooling wear/condition and support PM tasks. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2 4 years of thread/form rolling experience (aerospace fasteners preferred). Advanced print reading and inspection skills; proficient with micrometers calipers gauges and comparators. Intermediate familiarity with thread/form roll tooling and equipment including complex feeding systems. Advanced knowledge of wire/material types and coatings used in fastener manufacturing. Intermediate troubleshooting ability; strong documentation accuracy and communication. Ability to read and write in English; basic computer/data entry skills. Relevant certifications for thread/form rolling or production operations preferred. Physical & Work Environment: Lift up to 45 lbs; frequent standing walking reaching and handling of wire/parts. Manufacturing environment with moving machinery oils/coolants and moderate noise; PPE required at all times.
