JOB DESCRIPTION

3rd Shift CNC Swiss Machinist

As a 3rd Shift CNC Swiss Machinist, you will operate Citizen L12 and L20 machines to handle medium to high production runs for medical parts. You will be responsible for inspecting parts using various tools such as microscopes, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, and calipers. A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret layouts, job travelers, and blueprints. Ensuring adherence to written manufacturing processes and procedures is a key component of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Citizen L12 and L20 machines.
  • Handle medium to high production runs for medical parts.
  • Inspect parts using microscopes, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, and calipers.
  • Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Read and interpret layouts, job travelers, and blueprints.
  • Ensure compliance with written manufacturing processes and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of CNC Swiss operating experience.
  • Familiarity with operating Citizen L12 or L20 machines.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with shop mathematics.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of numerical control.
  • Experience with CNC Swiss machining.

Work Environment

Work in an extremely nice, brand-new machine shop that is well-lit with natural light and extremely clean. The company has been in business for approximately 11 years, focusing on producing tight tolerance R&D parts for major medical companies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
