This 5-axis CNC Machinist role supports production machining of engineered polymers and composites in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

This is a production-focused role - ideal for a machinist comfortable running machines, maintaining quality, and managing workflow efficiently.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Operate 5-axis Haas UMC 750 & UMC 1000 machines
• Work with Fanuc-based Haas controls
• Edit programs at the machine as needed
• Change tooling and adjust offsets
• Manage 30-minute cycle time jobs
• Potentially oversee more than one machine at a time
• Perform in-process quality checks using line sheets
• Use inspection tools including pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges
• Occasionally utilize CMM equipment
• Maintain production documentation and workflow standards

This is not a heavy setup position - it is production-oriented with responsibility for maintaining quality and efficiency.

Machines & Controls

• Haas UMC 750
• Haas UMC 1000
• Fanuc-based Haas controls (user-friendly interface)

Comfort editing programs, adjusting tooling, and managing offsets is required.

Materials You'll Work With

• Engineered plastics
• High-performance fluoropolymers

This is precision polymer machining - clean, controlled, and process-driven.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 3+ years of CNC milling experience
• Experience operating multi-axis CNC mills
• Comfortable editing programs at the machine
• Ability to change tooling and adjust offsets independently
• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience performing in-process inspections
• Reliable and production-minded

Preferred:

• Experience with Haas UMC platforms
• Experience machining plastics or composites
• Experience managing multiple machines simultaneously
