Pay: $33 - $35/hour + 15% shift premium

Viant Medical is seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist to join our Fort Wayne manufacturing team. As a CNC Mill Machinist, you'll play a key role in producing precision medical components that support life-saving technologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain 5-axis CNC mills with minimal assistance
  • Perform tooling changes and maintain dimensional integrity throughout production
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and vision systems to ensure conformance
  • Deburr, buff, or sand parts to meet print specifications
  • Complete all operational documentation accurately and maintain traceability
  • Troubleshoot equipment and correct issues independently
  • Perform preventative maintenance and uphold 5S principles daily
  • Support other machinists and assist with training as needed
  • Operate multiple machines and manage production throughput effectively

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of machine shop experience, including 2 years of 5-axis CNC machining, or journeyman-level skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work to very close tolerances
  • Strong understanding of shop math and precision measurement techniques
  • Capable of working independently and following written or verbal instructions
  • Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and handling materials up to 30 lbs

Equipment You'll Use:

  • 5-axis CNC mills - Haas, Matsuura, Mikron
  • Inspection tools: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, depth gauges, chamfer gauges
  • Optical comparator, gage pins, thread/ring/plug gages, and Keyence Vision system

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $33 - $35/hour, based on experience
  • 15% shift premium for 3rd shift
  • 3.5 weeks PTO
