To be considered for this role, you must pass a "stick" SMAW/ASME 1X 6G Qualification test, with 6010 root pass, 7018 Hot pass and 7018 Cap.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Must have at least 8-10 years of Pipe Welding experience

Must be able to pass a stick 6G pipe test with 6010 root and 7018 hot pass and cap

Must be able to perform basic math and read a tape measure

Pipe fitting experience is a plus

Other duties will be assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and supervisory personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to measure, layout and use basic math skills working with fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade. Skill in the welding of ferrous and nonferrous metals. Ability to read and independently work from plans, sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.
