OverviewThis role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Work within a team and independently to build composite structure details and assemblies using carbon and other composite materialsWork to instructions from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures, to assure the timely delivery of quality products to the customerPerform multi-tasking and multi-machine operation where applicableWork on platforms up to ten feet above the groundWork in confined spacesWork over headWork within a team environmentProficient use of technology i.e. computer, phones, laser projection, digital vacuum gaugesUse hand pressure and small tools to form and contour lay-upAbility to use tools such as scissors, knives, pushing tools, markers, and other small toolsMaintain a clean working environment and clean as you go QualificationsRequirements:All applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks. Majority of new hires will be hired on 2nd shift.Ability to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance and Customer Program AccessAll Candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (workkeys.com) or provide verification that they have passed the WorkKeys Assessment. Pay: $20.50/hour, with potential to earn up to $37.40/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
