POSTION: Academic Affairs AssistantPOSITION DESCRIPTION:East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time position in Academic Affairs (AA) and the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE). This position will assist the Director of Academic Affairs and Dean of Academic Services and Institutional Research in various duties relating to the offices and not limited to the following:Oversee all process and record-keeping aspects for hiring adjuncts including all agreement lettersManage all compliance records of all faculty and adjunctsAnswer phone greet the public schedule appointments coordinate yearly eventsAssist with compiling the budget review requisitions and monthly reconciliationsAssist the OIRE with internally requested reports and institutional research projectsAssist the OIRE with coordinating operational and institutional effectiveness plans in the online platformAssist the OIRE with maintaining course credit hour auditsAssist the OIRE with coordinating the course evaluations for each term and extracting resultsAssist the OIRE with faculty load reports POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Education/Certification:High school diploma is required. An earnedBachelors degree preferred college level experience is advantageous.Special Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge and computer skills including Adobe Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint and OutlookPossess strong administrative and secretarial skills be task and detail-orientedBe able to work and communicate well both written and orally with a diverse clientelePossess excellent organizational skills with an ability to efficiently manage multiple concurrent tasks in a detail-oriented settingEXPERIENCE:At least two years administrative office experience and efficiency with computers and various office equipment.Christian Commitment: The Employee must be a professing Christian believer with a demonstratedpersonal relationship with Jesus Christ. Employee must be a model of Christ-like character servant leadership integrity ethics and biblical/moral truths. Employee must support ETBUs distinct Christ-centered educational mission and share the institutional commitment to the integration of biblical faith and academic learning. Employee shall possess a commitment to Christ-centered faith-integrated service and devotion to students intellectual enlightenment spiritual formation servant leadership development and career preparation.Employee shall be cognizant and committed to the values traditions and history of Baptists. Employeeagrees that he or she is an active member of a local Baptist church or Christian denominational church and regularly attends church. Further as a servant leader and role model for the students of ETBU employee is required to participate in the life of the University via institutional meetings Chapel services prayer emphases discipleship programming committee participation local community ministry/service and campus activities and events.
