Job Description
ASUs Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation (MLFC) and the Division for Advancing Educator Preparation invites applications to establish a pool for Academic Associates in Elementary Education Secondary Education Early Childhood Early Childhood Special Education and Special Education for the academic year. Academic Associates may teach online courses that are either field-based (such as internship student teaching or apprentice teaching) or content-focused depending on program needs. Successful candidates will co-teach alongside lead instructors regularly collaborate with the instructional team maintain consistent communication with students establish supportive relationships through asynchronous and/or synchronous online conversations evaluate student work and assist students in mastering course content. Additional responsibilities may include online coaching teacher candidates in professional placements and providing feedback aligned to program performance indicators. The number of courses is contingent upon needs funding and sufficient enrollment. Individuals hired as Academic Associates may not hold multiple non-benefits-eligible appointments at Arizona State University. Salary is based upon qualifications and assigned teaching load.This recruitment is to establish a part-time hiring pool for temporary and semester appointments. The colleges core value of Principled Innovation connects individual decision making to the pursuit of inclusive excellence.For more information about the College please visit our website.Required Qualifications:Masters Degree or higher in Education or closely related field and/or certification relevant to the assignment.A minimum of five years of teaching or related professional experience in K12 education.Experience mentoring novice teachers in an educational setting.Desired Qualifications:Terminal degree in Education or closely related field and/or certification relevant to assignment.Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.Minimum of one semester of teaching experience in a university post-secondary or other adult education setting.Demonstrated engagement in issues of equity and inclusion (e.g. coursework professional development or training related to race dis/ability or other equity-focused areas in educational contexts).Evidence of delivering professional development activities.Experience working in collaborative environments across school subjects and disciplines (minimum one year).Experience using course management systems (such as Canvas or Blackboard) and digital instructional tools (such as Zoom and GoReact).Minimum of one year of experience teaching in digital/online learning environments.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Channel Marketing,ERP Sales,CSSD,Conflict Management,Ethernet,AC Maintenance Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
