The Specialist will obtain and organize required documentation from students requesting an accommodation and will assist the Director in approving and arranging for their execution.Minimum QualificationsAssociates Degree in relevant fieldThree (3) or more years related experience 3 or more years of related experience preferred in higher education disability services case management and or medical recordsRelevant combinations of education training and experience may be considered.Preferred QualificationsBachelors Degree in relevant fieldProfessional experience in a higher education setting working to support the following:Disability servicesCase managementMedical records managementMinimum Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft and ability to learn job specific software and technologyAbility to prioritize plan and organizeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to compose routine correspondence and reportsAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectivesDemonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusionStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituenciesAbility to assesses situations consider alternatives and chooses appropriate course of actionPreferred Knowledge Skill and AbilitiesKnowledge of Americans with Disability Act (ADA)Knowledge of 504/IEPShiftBusiness Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally requiredTravelLocal travel between campus locations onlyDrivingIncidental driving possible but not requiredStarting Salary/RateExpected hiring range: $23.00 - $27.00 / hrPay transparency disclosure: The selected candidates salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget internal equity and the final candidates qualifications experience education and other job-related credentials.
