JOB DESCRIPTION

Account Executive

OBJECTIVE
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities across new and existing accounts to support Gilson's growth objectives. This role requires strong prospecting discipline, a solution-oriented sales approach, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. Success is measured by consistent pipeline development, achieving revenue goals, and effective account ownership. SUPERVISOR Position reports to the Sales Managers.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management & Growth
• Drive account growth by building strong customer relationships, understanding client goals, recommending
solutions, and identifying opportunities to expand, while aligning solutions with client and Gilson objectives
• Develop a solid understanding of Gilson's products, services, systems, and workflows
• Anticipate customer needs by understanding how projects, timelines, and processes connect over time
• Oversee day-to-day communication and manage customer expectations; proactively communicate timelines,
action items, and changes to maintain alignment and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on accurate job specifications, estimating, and production
coordination for successful outcomes
• Use the CRM to document client information, track communications, and support account growth strategies
• Meet defined retention and account growth targets
New Business Development
• Drive new business development by prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities through outbound
outreach, referrals, networking, trade shows and events, and participation in Sales & Marketing initiatives
• Lead discovery conversations to identify and align customer needs with Gilson's solutions
• Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close
• Direct proposal development, estimates, and sales presentations in collaboration with internal teams
• Actively manage, forecast, and advance the sales pipeline using the CRM to provide visibility into pipeline health and growth opportunities.
• Meet or exceed individual sales goals for revenue, new accounts, and close rates
Additional Responsibilities
• Leverage and embrace AI-powered tools to support prospecting, follow-ups, meeting preparation, and sales
efficiency as appropriate
• Local and occasional national travel may be required
• Represent Gilson professionally to prospective customers and partners, as well as at industry events.
REQUIREMENTS

qualifications are representative of the education and training, experience, attitude, knowledge, and skills required:
Education and Training
• Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities preferred
• Ongoing participation in professional sales and account management training is encouraged
Experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related roles
• B2B sales experience preferred; print, marketing services, manufacturing, or related industry experience is a plus

Knowledge and Aptitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Dynamics CRM (or equivalent), and MIS systems

• Functional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
