Ensures accurate and timely charge capture and billing of office visits and inpatient charges front office assistant responsibilities precertification scheduling or other administrative functions as assigned. Responsible for collecting physician and technical superbills/rounding sheets daily. Enters and verifies patient demographics and insurance information. Verifies medical benefits and obtains preauthorization. Cross trained in the billing process cycle to include charge capture insurance collections and payment processing including outsourced receivables.Qualifications2 year experience in a clerical environment preferably in a healthcare environment.High School diploma or equivalent.Ability to read and understand a medical record chart.Basic typing skillsKnowledge of current ICD-9 and CPT codesAbility to manage time of self and others.Basic math skillsPreferred:Experience in a medical office setting.Work Hours:8:00 AM - 4:30 PMWeekend Requirements:NoOn-Call Requirements:NoRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Children Activity,Access Control,Human Resources Administration,Government,Actuary,Hydraulics Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
