Join IDHR in its mission to secure an Illinois free from discrimination.Position Overview Under direction of the Accountant Supervisor independently performs technical accounting work in the Department of Human Rights; maintans a complex complete set of general electronic account books. Posts and make adjustment entries to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP system ledgers and journals; verifies and confirms reconciliations of accounts from the Comprollers Office.Essential Functions Independently performs technical accounting work in the Department of Human Rights maintains a complex complete set of general electronic account books and closes account books. Independently performs general accounting work in the preparation of financial reports vouchers requisitions suborders obligation documents and amendments. Review and input invoices and vouchers through the ERP SAP system working with the Comptrollers office to resolve discrepancies.Maintains agency Tape Balancing Report numeric vouchers for SAP and extensive working knowledge of travel expenditure policies. Maintains fiscal records with the yearly submittal of records to the records retention center. Maintains extensive working knowledge of SAMs Accounting and Financial Reporting Policies and Procedures especially expenditure codes.Prepares monthly reconciliation of accounts and issues monthly state and federal financial statements prepare budgetary projectionsAs a member of the fiscal team organizes and submits accounting data records and documentation to state internal auditors and bi-annual compliance auditors.
