Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a prestigious international school who is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis.Location: On-Site Washington DCPay Rate: $60$65 per hourSoftware: Microsoft Dynamics NavisionEmployment Type: Interim with strong potential for permanent hireAbout the RoleThe Director of Finance will play a critical role in managing the schools financial operations and strategy. This position reports directly to the Principal and collaborates closely with the Regional Finance Director based in Miami FL. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial planning and analytical expertise preferably with experience in a private school setting.Key ResponsibilitiesLead budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to ensure financial performance aligns with forecasts.Drive short- and long-term financial planning including scenario modeling and real estate planning.Implement and monitor financial controls to safeguard assets.Oversee month-end close and statutory accounts.Manage internal controls and lead audits (Group and local statutory).Prepare Capex reports weekly KPIs and cash collection reports.Present accurate management accounts and financial statements to leadership and governors.Manage procurement processes to ensure best value.Oversee supplier contracts and agreements.Provide timely financial insights to principals and budget holders.Liaise with parents staff and external stakeholders on financial matters.Represent the school in regional operations meetings.Partner with operations teams on procurement and vendor management.Develop and manage AP and AR functions ensuring timely billing and cash collection.Drive team development performance reviews and training initiatives.Oversee payroll in collaboration with HR.Ensure compliance with legal regulatory and accounting standards.Continuously improve financial processes and maintain alignment with SOPs.Ideal Candidate ProfileProven experience in finance leadership roles ideally within private education.Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.Ability to manage audits reporting and compliance effectively.Collaborative leader with excellent communication skills.IND123Required Experience:Director Key Skills Crisis Management,Marketing,Public Relations,Fundraising,Media Relations,Constant Contact,Strategic Planning,Social Media Management,Team Management,Public Speaking,Wordpress,Writing Skills Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Hourly Salary Salary: 60 - 65
