Position: Accountant Fast-Paced Construction & Job-Cost Operations Location: South Boston MA (100% In-Office) Compensation: $80000- $100000 (DOE) 401(k) Match Phone Allowance Benefits: Health Dental Vision PTO Paid Holiday Breaks About the Company Were hiring a high-energy Accountant who wants to grow fast take on real responsibility and work inside a construction company that operates more like a modern startup than a traditional contractor. If youre ambitious tech-comfortable and want to make an immediate impact this is the role for you. Youll become the go-to accounting hub for a rapidly scaling construction team. This is a hands-on momentum-driven environment where youll collaborate with project managers field teams leadership and the Controller while helping build the financial systems that support the companys growth. What Youll Do Own day-to-day Accounts Payable processing vendor and subcontractor invoices with speed and accuracy. Manage Accounts Receivable sending invoices tracking payments and jumping on follow-ups quickly. Run weekly payroll via Gusto and work with field teams to ensure timesheets are clean and complete. Maintain organized real-time job cost accounting to keep projects on budget and leadership informed. Reconcile bank accounts credit cards and financial statements monthly. Coordinate with project managers and field staff to collect receipts fix coding issues and keep data clean. Help improve financial workflows and introduce more efficient systems as the company grows. Prepare job reports and support budgeting forecasting and internal dashboards. Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Keep financial files organized digital and audit ready. Bring positive energy a detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. What You Bring 3 years of construction accounting or bookkeeping experience. A high-energy personality with a proactive lets get this done mindset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high transaction volume without losing accuracy. Experience with QuickBooks Online required; exposure to Procore or construction platforms is a bonus. Comfort working with cloud-based tools and learning new systems quickly. Excellent communication skills you follow up speak up and keep teams accountable. Ability to work full-time in-office collaborate face-to-face and thrive in a fast busy environment. A desire to grow your responsibilities pick up new skills and become a key part of the accounting function.
