This position requires collaboration with project managers to accurately track capital project costs and adherence to GAAP and company policies. Responsibilities include preparing schedules and entries maintaining asset narratives and identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization. Additionally the Senior Accountant assists in developing ad hoc reports and analyses to provide insights and recommendations.Location: Tulsa OKWork Type: Hybrid#LI-HybridWhat you will do:Thorough knowledge and application of Fixed Asset AccountingMaintain the fixed asset subledger ensuring accurate capitalization depreciation transfers and disposalsReconciliation of the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger and ensure proper cutoff and accuracy.Ability to work closely with project managers to track capital project costs and ensure accurate accounting treatmentPrepare monthly quarterly and annual schedules and entriesEnsure adherence to GAAP and company policies regarding capitalization thresholds and depreciation methodsMaintenance of Fixed Asset group narratives and controlsAutomation Implementation: Identify opportunities for process automation. Design develop and implement automated solutions using appropriate software tools scripting languages and accounting systems to increase efficiency and reduce manual effortsProcess Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in existing accounting processes and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows reduce redundancy and enhance productivity.Assist with development of ad hoc reporting and analysis. Analyses are likely to includeanalysis of trend data interpretation of data and to provide recommendationsWhat you need:Bachelors degree in Accounting required57 years of progressive accounting experience including fixed asset accounting a plusOracle experience a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel and strong PC skillsBilingual English/Spanish a plusStrong analytical skillsAbility to pay close attention to detailExcellent professional interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-motivatedDemonstrates the H&P Company values: Actively C.A.R.E.
