The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CPA to serve in an advisory role supporting a growing portfolio of healthcare organizations and startup ventures. This position is ideal for a newer CPA with foundational experience who is looking to expand their knowledge across multi-entity operations, financial reporting, and compliance.
The Accounting Advisor will work closely with leadership and internal staff to provide guidance, assist with financial oversight, and support ongoing accounting, tax, and operational processes.

What You’ll Do:
Financial Oversight & Support
- Assist in reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and closing processes
- Provide basic variance analysis and assist in identifying trends
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
Healthcare & Operational Support
- Support healthcare-related accounting functions (e.g., reimbursements, capitation tracking, multi-entity structures)
- Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state requirements
- Help prepare documentation for audits and external reviews
Multi-State, Tax & Compliance Support
- Assist with tracking multi-state business registrations, annual reports, and compliance deadlines
- Support preparation and organization of information for federal and state tax filings
- Assist with payroll-related compliance and reporting processes
- Help monitor and organize correspondence from tax agencies (IRS and state)
- Support resolution of routine notices or requests under guidance
Advisory & Growth Support
- Provide input on financial processes and help identify areas for improvement
- Assist leadership with basic financial analysis and operational decision-making
- Support evaluation of systems and workflows as the organization grows
- Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Assist in maintaining and improving accounting workflows and internal controls
- Help ensure consistency and accuracy in financial processes
- Support development of basic KPIs and reporting tools
Team Collaboration & Support
- Work collaboratively with bookkeeping, billing, and administrative staff
- Provide support and guidance on day-to-day accounting questions
- Continue to build knowledge and contribute to team development
Qualities That Make You A Great Fit:
- CPA (active or recently obtained)
- 2–5 years of accounting or public accounting experience
- Basic understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Exposure to tax preparation, compliance, or multi-entity environments (preferred)
- Experience or interest in healthcare or startup environments (a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
