Accounting Clerk at The Resort at Longboat Key Club

The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role involves supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records processing transactions and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills proficiency with accounting software and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.ResponsibilitiesProcess invoices accurately and in a timely mannerRespond to Vendor inquiriesTrack invoice approvalsMaintain and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesAssist with month-end and year-end closing activitiesFile DocumentsTrack and Maintain Certificates of insuranceEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting standardsCommunicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing discrepanciesRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred1 to 2 years experience in a high-volume accounts payable position in hospitality retail or service industries preferred.Excel proficiency requiredVerbal and written EnglishSolomon and Jonas software experience preferredPrevious experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office especially ExcelFamiliarity with accounting software and financial systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential information with integrityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOther reasonable duties as assignedBenefitsCompetitive hourly wage of $19.00 - $21.00 paid bi-weeklyOpportunities for professional growth and developmentWork in a beautiful location at Longboat Key FLSupportive and collaborative work environmentHealth and wellness benefits (details provided upon hire)About the CompanyThe Resort at Longboat Key Club is a premier destination located in the scenic coastal town of Longboat Key Florida.
