Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an organized Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Danville, Virginia. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will excel at managing financial reporting, internal controls, and cross-departmental collaboration.Responsibilities:• Oversee the preparation and analysis of detailed financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.• Collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance teams to gather necessary information and drive results.• Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.• Conduct audits of financial statements and provide recommendations for improvements.• Utilize advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI tools to streamline reporting and analytics.• Monitor general ledger activities and ensure proper documentation of transactions.• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department to enhance efficiency.• Communicate financial insights and updates to relevant stakeholders in a clear and precise manner.• Train and mentor team members to foster growth and development.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; a recognized accounting qualification is preferred.• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.• Proven expertise in internal controls and financial reporting.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.• Exceptional communication skills in English to collaborate across departments.• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
