Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented HYBRID Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a contract-to-permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with time split between on-site and remote work once acclimated. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounts payable and general accounting practices.Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to vendors.• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial records are up-to-date.• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and payment tracking.• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.• Support month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines.• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities.• Provide detailed reports and analysis to assist management in decision-making.• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.• Strong knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes.• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
