Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Position:  Accounts Receivable/Payable ClerkFLSA:  Non-ExemptSecretariat:  Temporalities (Finance)Status:  Full-TimeINTRODUCTION:The Bishop of Manchester is the visible principal and foundation of unity in the particular diocese entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ’s mission present and enduring as Shepherd of the Christian Community. In order to fulfill his mission, the Bishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators (clerics, religious, or lay people). He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.Each position employed in the Diocesan Administration Building helps to extend the ministry of the Bishop in specific ways as outlined in the position description. All employees of the diocesan administration assist the Bishop of Manchester in serving the parishes, schools and institutions of the Catholic Church in New Hampshire.This position reports to the Controller.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Full cycle accounts receivable for Central Office/Insurance Program and Employee Benefits Trust.Collecting on past due accountsResearching and resolving invoice discrepanciesLogging daily cash receipts and completing remote depositsReconciling Accounts Receivable and other General Ledger accountsData entry of Accounts Payable invoicesResearch invoice issues with vendorsAssisting with month end closeInventory of and ordering various suppliesClerical duties as needed to support various departmentsOTHER DUTIES:11.  Provide ad hoc administrative support services as needed12.  Initiate service calls for office equipment repairsENVIRONMENT:The venue of this position is a general office environment that is clean, well-lighted, and environmentally comfortable.Requirements:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Associate's degree in accounting preferred1-3 years of Accounts Receivable experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office SoftwareExcellent data entry skills, attention to detail importantBlackbaud (Financial Edge) experience or other accounting software experience requiredAbility to learn new softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent follow-up and organizational skillsAbility to interact and maintain positive relationships with clergy and lay employees both within the Diocesan Administration offices and outside (Schools, Parishes, and general public) in a professional, knowledgeable, and tactful manner. This position requires the ability to:Occasionally move, lift and/or carry up to ten poundsReach at or above shoulder level and occasionally reach below shoulder levelManipulate equipment and controls frequently, and occasionally grasp and handle some equipmentWork a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekendsTolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing and walkingTolerate prolonged use of a computerPI597b63ab969f-25405-39245486
