Accounts Payable and Receivable Analyst - Chicago, IL
Description
Post A/R accurately & in a timely manner, post checks, electronic payments, process credit cards, and ACH Transactions, update card and bank information for customers.
Processes high-volume vendor invoices with 2-way/3-way match, verifies coding, resolves discrepancies, and maintains accurate AP records.
Manages vendor payments (ACH/check), reconciles statements, supports month-end close with accruals, and responds to vendor inquiries to keep accounts current.
Review and process invoices from suppliers and vendors.
Ensure invoices are properly matched with purchase orders and receiving documents.
Verify accuracy of invoice amounts including freight, tax, and payment terms.
Ensure invoices follow appropriate approval process and follow up with approver for timely approval.
Track accounts payable expenses and ensure they are recorded correctly in the company's financial system.
Assist in monthly end closing activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 to 2 years of accounts receivable/payable experience.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts receivable/accounts payable process.
Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
Strong work ethic and team player.
High degree of professionalism.
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
Sage Intacct Experience is required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
