This role ensures timely accurate invoice processing and payment disbursement maintains vendor relationships and actively contributes to month-end close.The Accounts Payable Lead will oversee day-to-day AP operations support system improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial accuracy and process efficiency across the organization.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead daily operations of the Accounts Payable function ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with company policies.Review verify and approve invoices and payment batches; ensure appropriate documentation and coding.Monitor AP aging and vendor reconciliations resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.Oversee employee expense submissions ensuring adherence to travel and expense policies.Maintain vendor master records and ensure compliance with internal controls and tax documentation requirements.Support month-end and year-end close processes including:- Accruals for unbilled expenses- Preparation of journal entries related to AP and prepaids- Account reconciliations for AP-related general ledger accounts- Variance analysis of AP balances and expensesAssist with 1099 reporting and year-end tax documentation.Collaborate with the Controller to improve AP policies procedures and system workflows.Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Train mentor and support junior AP staff to promote professional development and operational excellence.Serve as the point of contact for vendor management audits and internal/external inquiries.RequirementsREQUIRED SKILLSBachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.46 years of progressive accounts payable experience including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes.Hands-on experience with accruals reconciliations and journal entries.Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite SAP Oracle or Epicor.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables VLOOKUP data analysis).Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.Demonstrated experience documenting processes and supporting system implementations.DESIRED SKILLSFamiliarity with AP automation tools and expense systems (e.g. Concur Tipalti Expensify).Understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.BENEFITSJoin a successful and growing company investing in our future successFlexible work hoursGenerous vacation policyPaid five-week sabbatical every five years401(k) matchingHealth dental vision insuranceCompany paid life short term and long-term disability insuranceEmployee assistance programWellness reimbursementCharitable Giving Company MatchCompetitive salary commensurate with experience and performanceFun laid-back culture and rewarding work!Epiq is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer - All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color religion sex sexual orientation gender identity national origin disability or status as a protected veteran.Salary Description$100000 - $115000 Key Skills Business Continuity Planning,Food Technology,ABAP,Import,Electrical & Automation,Adobe Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Yearly Salary Salary: 100000 - 115000
