Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable Specialist to manage inventory discrepancies, review invoices, generate reports, and handle carrier-related information across multiple portals. This role requires a strong understanding of finance and credit concepts, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory discrepancies, including shortages and overages.
  • Review invoices and generate accurate reports.
  • Handle carrier-related information across multiple portals.
  • Monitor and respond to customer emails and manage shared inboxes.
  • Work directly with sales representatives and customer support through designated portals.
  • Process journal entries to reconcile invoices with credits or debits.
  • Review pricing claims and identify missing promotional discounts.
  • Investigate and resolve freight claims that were not initially submitted or processed.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of finance and credit concepts.
  • Basic understanding of commercial and consumer law.
  • Ability to professionally consult with customers to resolve complaints.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Fluency in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Supply Chain.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Oracle.
  • Experience with accounts receivable, cash application, and collections.

Work Environment

The position offers work-from-home flexibility after training. After training, the specialist will work remotely four days a week and will need to go onsite once a week. Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
