Job Details

Are you passionate about numbers and have a knack for financial planning and analysis? Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our construction industry team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of our company. You will be responsible for managing all accounts payable functions, including invoicing, financial planning, and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of vendor statements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and contract databases.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure all invoices are accurate and approved.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support budgeting and strategic planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations related to accounts payable.
• Prepare and present reports detailing accounts payable status and other financial data as required.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to accounts payable.
• Work closely with other departments to improve processes, enhance financial transparency, and drive company-wide financial performance.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and forecasting.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze large sets of data and compile detailed reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to high ethical standards.
