We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen.As our new entry-level Acoustical Consultant you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.Responsibilities:Work with a diverse group of clients in various locations inside and outside of the United StatesPerform field workHelp in preparing project reports and presentations for clientsAssist with aspects of measuring quantifying and analyzing sounds noise and vibrationAttend meetings with clientsWork alongside SLR engineers and specialists assisting with work in a variety of disciplinesContribute to project deliverables multi-tasking and working concurrently on different projectsWorking @ SLRWith us there is no doubt youll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education professional designation experience internal parity and location.Full-time permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancementQualifications/Education/Memberships:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Physics0-3 years of work experience in Engineering Architecture or Acoustical ConsultingProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of softwareDemonstrated ability to learn and use design and engineering softwareWillingness and ability to travel by airplane and car including overnight travelValid drivers licenseA genuine interest in how sound affects people and placesComfort with both fieldwork and desk workExcellent time management communication and analytical skillsWillingness to work across SLR teams on environmental industrial and other engineering related projects as neededUnderstanding of acoustics and/or acoustics instrumentation (a plus)Prior experience in architectural or industrial acoustics or engineering (a plus)Experience with related software programs (i.e. SoundPlan Cadna/A CATT INSUL and EASE) (a plus)INCE Bd. Cert.
