Live Work Play the Evergreen Way!Position SummaryThe Activities Assistant assists the Director of Activities in planning organizing developing and directing quality activities for patients ensuring that the recreational physical intellectual spiritual and social needs of each patient is met in accordance with all applicable laws regulations and Life Care standards.Education Experience and Licensure RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalentPrior experience with geriatrics preferredSpecific Job RequirementsValid drivers license in current State with satisfactory driving record per Life Care standardsDemonstrated proficiency in arts/crafts/music is preferredPossess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws regulations and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityAbility to implement and interpret the programs goals objectives policies and procedures of the departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates vendors etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life CaresCode of Conductand completes mandatoryCode of Conductand other appropriate compliance trainingEssential FunctionsAssist in planning developing organizing implementing and evaluating quality activity programs (includes entertainment exercise relaxation and education)Appropriately and descriptively chart patient progress and behaviorEscort patients to and from activitiesMake regular in room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate in group activitiesExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patientsDemonstrate dependable regular attendanceConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamSit stand bend lift push pull stoop walk reach and move intermittently during working hoursRead write speak and understand the English languageAn Equal Opportunity Employer Key Skills Senior Care,Nursing Home Experience,Time Management,Growing Experience,Assisted Living,Computer Skills,Daycare,Microsoft Outlook,Commercial Driving,Dementia Care,Alzheimers Care,Memory Care Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
