The Activity Programs Director will manage teams, systems, strategic planning, and implementation of programs and services for Assisted Living and Independent Living residents while maintaining regulatory compliance. Through dynamic and expert leadership, the Activity Programs Director will help ensure residents are offered diverse and engaging life-long learning opportunities consistent with the award winning standard for which Belmont Village is well known. If you have relevant experience and a passion for learning, leading, and inspiring others, we’d love to connect with you!YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes resident socialization, cognitive stimulation, and life enrichment by planning, implementing & engaging residents through inclusive activities in the following categories:  physical/ exercise, entertainment, social, religious, recreational/creative, volunteering, intellectual, special requests of residentsConducts, leads and chaperones programs and excursions as neededDevelops an informative monthly newsletter including a calendar of community eventsPlans, coordinates & implements decor for special events, seasons and holidays.Manages the Activity Program Enrichment Leaders, Concierge, Drivers and Valets including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and coachingPromotes tech-based education opportunities where applicableCoordinates the integration of family members and community partners into programmingWorks collaboratively with community management, regional and corporate support teamsEffectively communicates with and offers support to resident family members as neededConducts interviewing and hiring, evaluates employee performance, provides coaching and employee training, and delegates assignments for all direct reports MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExperience coordinating and leading dynamic activities with groups of 15 or moreDemonstrated strengths in creativity, oral and written communication, and organizational skillsAssociates degree in recreational therapy, education or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferredDemonstrated success in the use of technology in activities and technology troubleshooting skillsAbility to work flexible schedules in 24 hour operation including weekends as neededMust be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written EnglishConsistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the communityMust successfully complete based on state and company requirements: TB skin test or chest x-ray, State fingerprint and FBI background check, Health screening for this position, Basic First Aid training, Drug testPlease note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications.
