Through dynamic and expert leadership, the Activity Programs Director will help ensure residents are offered diverse and engaging life-long learning opportunities consistent with the award winning standard for which Belmont Village is well known. Supported by our experienced Regional and Corporate teams, the Activity Programs Director helps cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence. If you have relevant experience and a passion for learning, leading, and inspiring others, we’d love to connect with you!YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes resident socialization, growth, learning & development by planning, implementing & engaging residents for activities in the following categories:  physical/ exercise, entertainment, social, religious, recreational/creative, volunteering, intellectual, special requests of residentsCoordinates and accompanies scheduled outings as neededDevelops an informative monthly newsletter including a calendar of community eventsPlans, coordinates & implements decor for special events, seasons and holidays.Manages the Transportation Team including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and coachingProvides technological support and training to residents as neededRecruits, trains & coordinates volunteers to support community activities and eventsWorks collaboratively with community management, regional and corporate support teamsEffectively communicates with and offers support to resident family members as neededConducts interviewing and hiring, evaluates employee performance, provides coaching and employee training, and delegates assignments for all direct reportsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExperience coordinating and leading dynamic activities with groups of 15 or moreDemonstrated strengths in creativity, oral and written communication, and organizational skillsAssociates degree in Recreational Therapy, Education or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferredDemonstrated success in the use of technology in activities and technology troubleshooting skillsAbility to work flexible schedules in 24 hour operation including weekends as neededConsistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the communityMust successfully complete TB test, drug test, health screening for this position, basic First Aid training and State and FBI background check where applicable.Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications.
