Experience the midnight sun in the summer a front-row seat to the northern lights in the winter and the opportunity to advance your career as you broaden your scope of practice.Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is seeking an Acute Care Surgicalist to join our highly experienced team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.The Opportunity:Step into a high-functioning Acute Care Surgery team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where youll practice the full breadth of emergency general surgery in a setting that balances complexity autonomy and true schedule flexibility. Our surgeons manage everything from pediatric and thoracic emergencies to major trauma backed by a robust blood bank and reliable 24/7 in-house support services. Youll have the opportunity to perform a wide range of cases while benefiting from a practice model that allows you to fully sign out when your shift ends giving you the freedom to enjoy everything Alaska has to offer outside of work.Compensation & Benefits: $3700/24hr shift. $65k sign-on bonus. Full employee benefits medical vision dental 401k.Schedule: 120 shifts per year (10 shifts/month). Live wherever youd like and join us for your 10-day block if you prefer. Hospital housing is provided but travel is the providers expense.The OR: State-of-the-art facilities an exceptional anesthesia team and ample support in the operating room. Acute Care Surgeon Scope of Practice:Phone call with 30-minute response time during shifts. Consults from urgent care emergency department and inpatient services.Emergency and urgent surgery.Emergency endoscopy. Inpatient rounding and day-to-day management of admitted patients.Follow-up care and consults in the outpatient clinic.Foundation Health Partners:Foundation Health Partners is a community-owned and operated health system in Fairbanks Alaska.
