This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on patient access to transformative treatments while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Lead site-based capital engineering projects through all phasesdesign construction commissioning qualification and facility turnoverensuring compliance and quality standards.Provide clear leadership and mentoring to the GTx Engineering Project Management team fostering collaboration and professional growth among staff and contractors.Manage the site project portfolio balancing workloads across Project Managers and ensuring projects meet scope timelines and budget targets.Oversee preparation of business cases and lead development of funding capital appropriation requests (CAR) to secure project approvals.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client representatives to align resources and maintain strong stakeholder relationships for successful project delivery.Develop and maintain site master plans supporting long-term network planning and ensuring alignment with business objectives.Manage annual capital budget including operating plan development project justification and ongoing monitoring of commitments expenditures and invoices.Drive operational excellence implement lessons learned post-project close-out and champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.Fosters effective global collaboration with engineering partners and actively contributes to strategic Global Engineering initiatives.Essential RequirementsBS degree in Engineering or relevant disciplineMinimum 10 years of professional experience including at least 5 years in Capital Portfolio and Major Project Management and at least 5 years within the pharmaceutical industry.Strong knowledge of project cost control scheduling and quality assuranceStrong leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams and managing external engineering resources.Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly to direct and global leadership.Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.Advanced understanding of HSE standards and GxP/QA complianceDesirable Requirements:Experience leading capital projects >$20MAdvanced degree in Engineering or Project Management certification (e.g. PMP).Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The salary for this position is expected to range between $132300 and $245700 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like but not limited to relevant skills and experience and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
