A successful systems engineer should be focused on troubleshooting complex system operations not just on a server level but enterprise wide. You should also have a solid foundation in multiple operating systems networking and general knowledge of cloud services. You will work with Amazons largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (IoT) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.10012Key job responsibilitiesYou will work with systems and software engineers to create proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable your team to manage the health of a number of distributed specialized Linux server fleets and the software stacks that run on them.You will deploy and monitor the systems and automation to ensure that regional tooling is operating optimally. The base pay for this position ranges from $105200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
