Job Description
ResponsibilitiesThis course will take a comparative approach to the physiology of animals. Students are introduced to a variety of animal systems and homeostatic and adaptive mechanisms. Adaptive mechanisms from the molecular to the organismal level will be considered. The adjunct professor will be responsible for delivering the content of the course and grading all course assessment tasks (e.g. exams quizzes). This individual is responsible for the calculation and submission of final class grades. A sample syllabus from a previous year is available if desired. Responsibilities for this position include: Developing and/or updating a course syllabus. Presenting instruction aligned with the student learning outcomes of the course. Preparing student assignments that assess the student learning outcomes of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner. Submitting mid-semester progress reports and final grades by University deadlines.QualificationsGraduate-level training in Biology (or a related field) is required; college teaching experience is preferred.
