Adjunct Faculty Accounting 2026 at Augsburg University

The Department of Business and Economics is looking for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate accounting courses.  These courses are taught by integrating Microsoft Excel into course materials and assignments.This search will establish a pool of instructors if such openings occur during Spring Summer or Fall of 2026.  Applicants may be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis throughout the year. The successful candidate will possess both a high level of intercultural competence and commitment to inclusive teaching in the classroom.  Candidates are encouraged to highlight skills and experiences that demonstrate these abilities.  Responsibilities include appropriate classroom teaching constructing assignments grading office hours regular email and .  including possible orientation the week before classes begin.  Course syllabus textbook and shared office space are provided.  Each course requires approximately 12-15 hours a week.The collective bargaining agreement with SEIU Local 284 covers adjunct teaching at Augsburg.Compensation & BenefitsSubject to the collective bargaining agreement with SEIU Local 284$5800 to $6175 per undergraduate course* for the 2025-26 academic yearEligible for 2-4% retirement contribution matchTuition discount for employees and dependentsTransit pass discountNot eligible for healthcare benefits*Course refers to a typical 4-credit undergraduate or 3-credit graduate course that has met minimum enrollment requirements.Please note that due to employment law and payroll regulations we can only employ adjunct faculty who reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
