Join a team of passionate educators dedicated to making a difference!Adjunctfaculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providinginstruction, and performing student learning assessment.  The successfulcandidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional andclassroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.  Courses atWaubonsee Community College may be offered in various delivery modes including,but not limited to, face-to-face, asynchronous online, synchronous online,hybrid, and flex.Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Adjunct Faculty preparecourse syllabi and design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments toaddress different learning styles and ensure that students successfully meetthe course objectives and outcomes. Adjunct faculty also incorporate learningcentered principles and concepts and motivate students to actively participatein all aspects of the educational experience. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for student evaluation as well as timely andaccurate reporting such as attendance verification, academic progress, andfinal course grades. They also provide leadership in program promotion as wellas support student success initiatives.We are currently hiring for the following courses:AUT 232 Advanced Brakes and Suspension Systems- Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00 pm -5:45 pmAUT 243 Advanced Engine Control Systems - Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 pm 5:45 pm Essential functions of this position include, but are not limitedto:  Designingsyllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to meet theestablished course description as well as program, course, and college learningoutcomes and/or objectives while addressing each student’s needs as diverselearners. Meeting all college deadlines for submission of attendance, grades and datacollection for assessment of student learning. Incorporating learning-centered principles and concepts while motivatingstudents to actively participate in their educational experiences.   Integrating instructional and classroom technology (if applicable)appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teaching and learning.
