Faculty teaching in the Business Software and Administrative Management program affiliate with the Business Department. Their curriculum supports the Business Software and Administrative Management Associate of Applied Science degree and certificate as well as our business degrees. Those hired into these positions will be expected to advance this goal through culturally responsive teaching identifying barriers to success for students of color and proposing effective solutions to eliminate those barriers.The successful candidate will be expected to:Teach in an inclusive student-ready and culturally responsive manner to meet the needs of our diverse student body.Teach a broad spectrum of Business Software and Administrative Management courses including day and evening classes and utilizing different instructional modalities including online face to face and hybrid delivery formats.Work as a team member in maintaining a student-ready learning environment that meets the educational needs of a diverse student body.Contribute to department division and college goals which provide the basis for program planning implementation evaluation and supportMaintain currency in their knowledge of new digital or software tools supporting the administrative and operations functions of businessEngage in scholarly activities consistent with the colleges goalsBe committed to the success and retention of underrepresented studentsDemonstrate knowledge of and experience in assessment of student learning outcomes.Participate in the development and improvement of curricula and courses.Participate in faculty and department meetings and College-wide committees.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in business management business education or marketing.Occupational Experience RequirementTwo full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in business office applications and operations.Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.To be qualified for this position you must meet all of the minimum qualifications.
