Program (PSAV) Location: Medical Campus Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 1008331 Job Details Job FamilyFAC - Part-Time Faculty, Credit ClassesGradeP0Salary$54.37 - Base RateDepartmentDental Assistant (Heath Sciences)Reports ToDepartment Chairperson, Health SciencesClosing DatePosted on an ongoing basisFLSA StatusExempt - Not Eligible for Overtime CompensationFirst Review DateJune 5, 2025Position Overview The Adjunct Faculty member supervises students in clinical settingsCourses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.What you will be doing Prepares course scheduleEvaluates and advises studentsPrepares examsPrepares syllabusMonitors class rosterMaintains schedule that allows for student meetingsSchedules laboratory sessions for skills component of courseTeaches in lecture and laboratory settings; blended and virtual environmentsDisseminates information and recruits students for service-learning initiativesAssesses student performance in the clinical settingPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed Bachelor's or Associate's degree in and field; and Certificate in Dental Assisting with Expanded Function (EFDA) from an American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited program at a regionally accredited institution; and Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate from the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB); and, three (3) years of full-time work and/or instructional experience as a Certified Dental AssistantAll educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionPossess excellent and effective communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the communityAbility to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignmentsAbility to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environmentPreferences For best consideration upload your unofficial transcripts along with cover letter and resume.
