BHCC fosters a welcoming and supportive learning environment for students by offering associate degrees and certificates, early college and dual enrollment, community education, corporate training, and industry-specific programs.Job Description:BHCC is seeking mathematics faculty for the 2026 Spring Semester: The department provides mathematics instruction that meets the needs of learners with diverse backgrounds and varied educational goals. The department curriculum includes three components:Developmental math courses for underprepared students.Mathematics service courses for students in other disciplines which satisfy the general education criteria of degree and certificate programs.Mathematics foundation courses for students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (STEM).Faculty are needed in all areas to create an environment which fosters learner success, promotes academic excellence and prepares quantitatively and scientifically literate citizens. There is an immediate need for faculty to teach the following sections:Cluster Course - MAT098-02C Pre-Statistics/181-02C Statistics Monday and Wednesday 1-3:45pm meets IN PERSON at the Charlestown campusCluster Course - MAT093-202C Foundations of Mathematics / MAT097-202C Foundations of AlgebraMonday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4-5:15pm IN PERSON at the Charlestown campusCluster Course - MAT093-09C Foundations of Mathematics / MAT 097-09C Foundations of Algebra Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:30-3:45pm meets IN PERSON at the Charlestown campusRequirements:The Department of Mathematics seeks to hire adjunct instructors that meet the following requirements:A minimum of a Master's degree in one of the following fields: Mathematics or Applied Mathematics; Physics; Engineering.Applicants with a Master's degree in Education who have completed a minimum of 18 graduate credits in mathematics will also be considered.
