Adjunct Faculty Nursing Assistant at Heartland Community College

DescriptionWe seek applicants for part-time instructors to teach for the IDPH-approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program within the Colleges Health Sciences division. Positions are available at both the Normal and Lincoln IL campuses.RequirementsCurrent Illinois Registered Nurse licensureTwo (2) years of nursing experience with at least one (1) year of experience in one of the following areas:Teaching theory in an accredited nurse training programProviding nursing care including personal care and activities of daily living to older adults or for chronically ill adultsProvision of long-term care facility services or direct careAvailability to be present on campus as neededADN or diploma nurses are required to complete an IDPH-approved Train the Trainer program that includes instruction in Alzheimers Disease and related dementias of at least four (4) hours or four (4) CEU credits.Registered professional nurses possessing a BSN degree or higher may be exempt from Train the Trainer program completion requirement but will need to provide documentation of completion of an IDPH-approved specialized workshop course seminar continuing education unit or other approved training for instruction in Alzheimers Disease and related dementias of at least four (4) hours or four (4) CEU credits.*** PLEASE ATTACH COPIES OF TRAINING DOCUMENTATION OUTLINED ABOVE WHEN COMPLETING THE APPLICATION PROCESS ***The review of applications will be ongoing.For additional information please contact Susan Carl Associate Dean Health Sciences at Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hours (ECH) of instruction.
